Eventus WholeHealth expresses our heartfelt support for everyone affected by Hurricane Helene.

We are committed to our employees in the impacted regions, ensuring their financial stability through guaranteed income, regardless of their ability to work. To formalize and extend this support, we are in the process of establishing a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Eventus Cares, which will provide ongoing assistance during future crises.

In addition, we are working diligently to support our patients and community partners. During the first week of recovery, our Crisis Response Team has reached over 100 communities across Western NC, VA, and SC. We are providing emergency medical care, delivering critical supplies such as food and water, and collaborating with national and local resources where needed. Thankfully, we have been able to reach nearly all of our partner locations, ensuring their safety and addressing their immediate needs.

Stay tuned for updates on how you can contribute to these efforts and support our Eventus family and communities during this challenging time.

Updates

Thank you to everyone who has donated, volunteered, and responded to the Eventus hurricane response team as they reached out for assistance.  We are happy to report significant progress and successes:

  • All Western Carolina providers have returned to work as of this week.
  • We have successfully spoken with the staff members of all of the long-term care facilities we serve in Western North Carolina.  3 facilities unfortunately had no choice but to evacuate the residents to alternative facilities however, 76 of the original 103 have power, water and internet restored while the others continue to function as they await final utility restoration.
  • We have successfully delivered supplies directly or arranged shipments to multiple facilities in the past week.
  • For ongoing needs, we have established supply hubs for pickup and distribution
  • During the internet outage, and for Eventus providers and facilities without internet the triage team and lab services team are assisting by telephone to ensure no coverage or care gaps.
  • The pharmacy team has been working closely with pharmacies serving Western North Carolina to monitor and confirm the status of pharmacy orders.

Eventus will continue to do all we can to care for our patients and team members as the recovery work continues.
